Art

The visual arts program at Kangaroo Ground Primary School gives our students the opportunity to engage in stimulating activities where they can explore with guidance, a wide range of media, materials and equipment.

At all levels the following media are explored: - drawing, painting, collage, printing, modelling, construction and threads and textiles. Our students develop art skills and techniques through observation, experimentation and practice across sequential activities.

Students attend a weekly art session in the schools dedicated art room. The Visual Arts program is implemented by a specialist art teacher and follows the guidelines set out in the Department of Education’s Victorian Curriculum.
